Martin Allik is in the jury of the Tartu cultural center competition

MARELD partner Martin Allik is a jury member for the international architecture competition for a new downtown cultural center in Tartu, Estonia. The competition site is situated in central Tartu by the river Emajõgi and within a cultural heritage protection zone. Besides the actual design of the building, the competition has ambitious sustainability goals for the public space around it. Mobility, resilience to climate change, biodiversity and life cycle costs are just some of the relevant landscape architecture topics.

The competition is organized by Tartu city government in cooperation with the Estonian Association of Architects. More information about the competition can be found here (in English): https://www.tartu.ee/en/downtown-cultural-centre-architectural-design-competition
